Let’s Hope for Another Productive Week!

     Hello, hello, hello~! It's great to see you again! I overslept today, but I am not letting that throw off my plans! I've been working on a lot of stuff this past week, both important and comparatively useless, so let's get into it!

     I finished the poncho! Well... "finished" is a strong word for ran out of yarn. LOL. I'm supposed to have at least eight rows of the fan motif and my yarn ended a couple fans into the fourth. It looks really good and fits (Is that a word you can use with ponchos?) nicely so far. If this yarn (Premier Sweet Roll in Frosty Swirl) is still in production, I might pick some up to continue it. I stalled a really long time already, so I could also just stick this into the "WIP to never be progressed again" bin.

     I was still in a crocheting mood after the poncho was done, so I tried out another pattern using the 5mm hook in the meantime. A water bottle cozy! I planned to make this one in the crystalline colorway since it's ideally worked using multiple colors. For now, I just picked up a random skein from my stash and got started. It took me way longer than I thought, starting around 1pm and ending after 9pm with a break to eat dinner, but I could see myself making these since they are just the same two rows until it's the right size. I made mine with ten rows of dc3tog instead of eight since my water bottle is kinda tall (I forgot to stop and count my rows properly). I think I like the extra rows just for the added protection of possibly tossing the bottle to the floor and making the loudest noise in the world.

     Another thing I worked on was the discord server! It's now put together as best as I can with just myself. If you join it's pretty empty aside from an assortment of novelty bots, but if you ever have any questions, requests, or just want to talk, I'll get back to you pretty quickly through there. Ideally, I can set up something on a more professional site for refund/remake problems. I was putting together something like Trello, since I see a lot of commission based artists/crafters using it to keep their work organized, but I don't think it's quite what I need. I'm not seeing myself checking it nearly enough. Both of these issues would probably be easily solved if I just looked up some tutorials, but I am dumb.

     The last thing I want to talk about is that I might change up the theme of the store! I'll give a warning the week that I plan to, of course, but right now it's basically the default template. It works for what I need it to, just having a proof of concept right now, but I want something I can call my own. Every time I go out to look, I balk at the super high price points for some of these themes. $300 for a drop-shipping template? No thank you! I also would rather not want to have to rely on someone to help out with any aspect of the store, since my work schedule is all over the place. I'm sure these 24/7 assistance teams wouldn't want me to appear triweekly at 4am to ask obvious questions. When I first started, I removed nearly every page besides the bare minimum, so I want to bring a bunch of those assorted pages back without having to redo all my work. If I start fresh, maybe I can make my favorite hyper-saturated teals and magentas work without it clashing with the mellow tans and creams of Craft.
