Coo coo ka-choo, how do you do?

Heyo! Back again for another week! This time, instead of being buried under yarn or doodling questionable art in Copper Vein Plaza, I actually left the house. Shocking, I know. A friend and I finally got to hang out for the first time in... a couple years!

First, we met up at Barra Rossa for some delicious lunch, which immediately went wildly out of control. We had agreed on sandwiches, but we might as well split a pizza if they offer it, right? So we just chose the one that had the most interesting name. So as we enjoyed our calamari, she mentioned offhandedly "Ah, what's asiago?" and that gave me war flashbacks. I told her the story of my aunt's asiago ravioli from years before and said, "So we all agreed, 'never again asiago'." She looked at me in shock for a moment before going, "...The pizza has asiago."

We laughed nervously a bit and continued eating... before I dropped the second bombshell. "I hope the pizza's really good because... I kinda hate ricotta." She goes "Oh. I hate blue cheese on pizza." Folks. The pizza was triple cheese with a ricotta base with asiago and blue cheese on top. LOL It wasn't bad! It was pretty delicious, considering the situation. It definitely wouldn't be my first choice ever again, but it was good regardless. A solid 85% for me.

Afterwards we went to Round1 to wait for our movie and I managed to win another keychain! It was another Anya from SpyxFamily but this time it was just her head. I nearly got two! I didn't realize Hololive was doing an event! I wasted so many credits trying to get Fuwamoco and I don't even watch them! LOL I told my friend, 'Don’t let me get into coin pushers, we’ll be here forever.' So naturally, when she stepped away for credits, I had to give it a shot. I’m now the proud owner of two Patrick cards and zero regrets.

We nearly missed the trailers before Moana 2 after getting roped into a super involved rhythm game, but we made it to our seats in time. The lighting was stunning, the music was fun, and while I could’ve used more Tamatoa, it was still a great time. I'll keep it short so it's not full of spoilers!

We headed out to the Christmas Village next for some hot cider! There was a whole group of carolers... right next to a trumpet busker with a speaker. LOL It was chaotic from the moment we walked in. My friend got a cup of spiced wine while I got apple wine. It was my first time having wine at all, so I was absolutely thrilled! The vendor used the handle to  give me my steaming mug, casually saying, 'Oh, it’s not that hot.' Spoiler: it was hot. But hey, the only real burn came from trying my friend’s spiced wine, which had been stealthily boiling in its lidded cup.

So yeah! A chaotic but enjoyable outing! It was definitely a well needed break from the bustle of my con prep. As we were walking through the Christmas Village, I was imagining myself as one of the vendors there! One day the Copper Vein Plaza will have its own tent at the Village! x) My friend said she can't wait to see the day that happens and neither can I!
