Coo coo ka-choo, how do you do?
Finally, I have relevant updates to give all (currently zero) of you! Is it particularly good news? Well, how do you feel about... launch day limited items?
Yes! That's right! Caron Jumbo has actually failed me this time. Zinnias (which I lovingly nicknamed Fruit Punch) has been totally discontinued! Of the colors with names, I've now lost 1/10th of them! Oh gosh. If I'd known, I'd have added way more skeins to my yarn hoard. At least, enough to make cowls to match the hats I've finished. Is yarn overpricing a thing? Surely, there's enough cheap Zinnias for me to take a few and make 3 cowls and 3 sets? That's a little greedy, but I can give you a smile? Right?
Alright, that's only one part, right? Wrong! Where do I put limited items on my giant spreadsheet of items!? I figured I'd shove this further down the line, to long after I had everything together, but turns out the end of the line is right under my feet! If the ones available on Caron's site , or at least JoAnn's, are what colors are left? If Bouquet, Garden Grows, and Harbor Mist are also gone? Two out of three I never got to rename! That takes my inventory from a cushy 22 hats 1 cowl down to 10 hats 1 cowl!
But hey, on the bright side, that's only twelve hats gone. If I hadn't procrastinated this far, I would've had so much more to go in the unsorted pile. These colors would impact the Dewdrop Hat/Cowl, Stained Glass Hat/Cowl, Waffle Hat/Cowl, and, I suppose, any other weight 4 accessory sets. I've already gotten burnt starting on Red Heart's Mexicana, but I guess I could work with those colors as well.
