Coo coo ka-choo, how do you do?

Heyo! It's getting spooky around here with all the Halloween decorations up on everyone's lawns. I want to make spider webs and ghosts, but I have a ton of restocking to do thanks to the shopping trip I took this past week. Let's get into it!

So, I mentioned a while ago that I planned to add beads to the Melon Slice Keychains, right? Well, the little ball and clasp keychains I use turned out to be way too big for the majority of the beads that I bought in preparation! So I bought bars that are built to hold beads, planning to just add the beads to those, right? Right?! Nope! Too big! Way too big! The beads are so pretty, but they fit on nothing I have. I tried just using elastic bands and then remembered I am a clumsy oaf, they all burst off in random directions when I went to tie it!

Burnt by the online shopping, I decided to take a trip to Michael's and just stock up on pretty beads. The listing for the bead bars said 9.5mm, but I refused to buy anything under 11mm. I am not gathering more clutter for my crafting area! x) But no worries! I still managed to snag pearls—so many pearls. I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to do with them all yet, but they’re just so elegant, I couldn’t resist. I got some in green, orange, and red for the melon keychains and then also picked up a huge back of white for additional parts!

Michael's was only half a success, so we headed out to the JoAnn. I still needed Fuchsia to match the Pagoda and the really nice yet bulky subs won't work for what I need them for right now! Always reliable, I was able to pick up not only the Caron Simply Softs, but also the last skein of Baby Rainbow Caron Jumbo! Now I can finally test out the Stained Glass Hat and Cowl! I can't wait! Along with that, I also picked up even more beads, this time including a bunch of wooden beads, letter beads (because I’m secretly 12 and love spelling random things out), and silver beads for that extra shine. I've got too many now LOL I might start adding them to other items as well!

Overall, it was a weekend full of surprises! Mostly small ones (pun intended), but hey, it’s all part of the journey, right?

P.S. I have a new Instagram and Twitter! It's @RustyyCrafts so I don't have to worry about my personal stuff! Please follow me on there (or both if you want x))!
